Foundation Degree Centre – an initiative for enhanced employer engagement
This project aims to build on Aston University’s proven success in developing Foundation Degree (FD) programmes with strong employer engagement by:
- establishing a dedicated Foundation Degree Centre (FDC)
- scaling-up its capacity and capability to deliver higher-level skills training
- coordinate the development and delivery of FD programmes across the university.
The FD Centre will also provide an easy to find ‘front door’ for employers interested in exploring the benefits of FD programmes for their businesses, and enable the University to strengthen its infrastructure for engagement with employers, paving the way for increased learners supported by their employers.
