Innovation Leaders

The aim of the Innovation Leaders programme is to establish innovative models of engagement between the Universities of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam, and employers, particularly small- and medium-sized enterprises in the city region.

The programme will bring together the complementary expertise of the two universities to deliver models of learning focused on work that enhances the performance of individuals and business.

The programme will grow the number of companies engaged with the universities in order to establish longer-term learning partnerships. It will achieve this by linking the universities' expertise in industrial collaboration and consultancy with workplace, employer-focused skills development. It will also bring together training in leadership and management with sector-focused technical skills.

The programme will deliver its models of training through short-course, flexible learning modules, supported by new approaches to the accreditation of work-focused learning. Bursaries to promote early engagement with employers will support this delivery.
