Rural Employer Engagement Development Network (ReedNet)

ReedNet is a collaborative three-year project designed to extend the scale and scope of existing engagement with employers at Harper Adams University College and the Royal Agricultural College. Through collaboration, the project consolidates the strong track record of both colleges in the area of employer-based continuing professional development (CPD) within the land-based professions and industries.

ReedNet will develop a framework to encompass the Landex colleges (an association of 32 further and higher education colleges in England providing land-based provision), which will offer mutually transferable, accredited, demand-led CPD programmes. Bringing the colleges together under ReedNet will broaden the range of specialist skills and knowledge available, and expand the available base of training choice and accessibility. This will ensure employers’ needs are not overlooked where a single institution does not have the specialist resources.

Funding award : £4,054,806

Rural Employer Engagement Student Experience Project (REESEP)

Harper Adams University College has also been awarded funding to support capital infrastructure development to consolidate and improve Harper Adams’ student support services. This will facilitate the step-change required for the wider implementation of its employer engagement strategy and related growth plans.

Funding award : £2,879,500
