The Middlesex University Organisational Development Network (MODNet) is the centre of a national network of expertise in work-based learning. Middlesex University leads the network, which brings together a broad base of higher education, further education and private training providers.
Employers and the MODNet partners will work together to design and deliver learning relevant to business objectives. Flexibility is central to its purpose. The project will provide a single point of contact for employers looking for work-based training at all levels of the National Qualification Framework. It supports the development of new pathways for the delivery of curricula, shares best practice, and strives for business excellence. It will also work with employers and partners to develop training suited to employer requirements.
The project takes full advantage of Middlesex University's 17 years of work in the area of work-based learning. It links to partners with a strong history of vocational learning, and makes possible the cultural change in the provision of training that is needed to serve those in employment.
