This project builds on the success of its first phase. The second phase aims to make a sustainable step-increase in the numbers of learners and employers benefiting from the project. The project will provide tailored learning programmes that focus on science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and business management.

The university is mindful of the change in economic conditions and the potential effect on business demand for training and development. With this in mind, the university is marketing its offer to employers and learners with an emphasis on withstanding recession, and being well placed to take advantage of an economic upturn.
