Quality risk management in higher education

Lead institution : Edge Hill University

This project, which was completed in 2005, adapted, developed and applied the techniques described in HEFCE guidance on risk management to the area of academic quality and standards.

The two primary purposes were to:

  • develop integrated risk management methodologies, that are cost-effective and sensitive to the differences between corporate and academic governance
  • identify, evaluate and disseminate best practice in the implementation of quality risk management techniques within higher education institutions.
