The Accountable Institution

Three case study universities worked together toward the ‘publicly accountable institution’ with the objective of strengthening their own accountability arrangements and thereby reducing the burden of monitoring, particularly where HEIs are dealing with multiple funders. The institutions explored the scope for consolidation and rationalisation of current requirements to reduce burden without sacrificing rigour and to improve the quality of data provided.
