The same but different: working effectively with student diversity

The project, which finished in 2006, developed a resource pack, comprising a film (DVD/VHS formats, including sub-titled version) and workbook. Their purpose was to encourage and assist staff to work effectively and successfully with student diversity. For the purposes of the project, diversity is an all-embracing concept covering individual characteristics such as race, ethnicity, faith, age, gender, sexual orientation and disability, as well as broader issues such as cross-cultural working, widening participation and working with international students. The resource pack 'Same but different' was published by the Centre for Media, Arts and performance, Coventry School of Art and Design in 2006 (ISBN 1846000114).
