Women in clinical academia: the medical and clerical workforce of the future

As medical careers progress the number of women decreases, with only 10 per cent of professorships of medicine held by women. This project, which took place in 2007, disseminated the findings of a Council of Heads of Medical Schools working party which identified the issues affecting the attractiveness for women of a career in clinical academic medicine.
