Promoting positive gender outcomes in HE through active workload management

Project reference : LGMF-224

Lead institution : University of Salford

This project will produce a good practice guide on the use of academic workload data to address equality issues. It will run from January 2011 until June 2012.

There is a sector trend towards university-wide systems that capture academic workload information, but at present there is no practical analytical framework to make use of the data in these systems to promote fairer outcomes in terms of gender equality.

Experiments in data analysis will be linked to workshops on the career trajectories that result from particular work allocations, in order to show how to make these issues visible in university level data.

Total funding : £65,899
