Universities, in collaboration with the National Health Service, are responsible for academic staff and students appreciating, understanding and applying the concepts of risk management in clinical practice and research. A Joint Centre for Risk Management in Healthcare Education and Research was established to develop risk management training courses for the partners' staff and students.

The project was completed in 2011
