UK panel for research integrity in health and biomedical sciences

Project reference : LGMF-057

Lead institution : St George's University Hospital for the Panel

The aim of the project, which ran until summer 2009, was to establish a UK-wide panel to:

  • promote high standards of integrity in the leadership, governance and management of health and biomedical research across the higher education and NHS sectors
  • provide practical support to employers and the research community in the prevention and effective management of research misconduct.

The panel was established on a project basis in order to demonstrate proof of principle and to embed some of its findings. Separate funding is being sought to cover the NHS sector.

Total funding : £200,000
