Project reference : LGMF-106
Lead institution : University of Bradford
Annual submissions to the Estates Management Statistics (EMS) are the main means of gathering information on the estates of higher education institutions. That information tends, however, to focus on the estate and the institution in statistical terms, and little information is available to the institution or HEFCE on the management of the estate. The self-assessment tool, developed in this project, provides a common framework against which institutions can assess themselves, and adds qualitative information to the EMS quantitative data. Institutions are now able to assess their current management performance against set criteria and can develop good practice. The information derived from the tool can be used in conjunction with HEFCE’s Capital Investment Framework.
Total funding : £312,000
