Collaborative approaches to the management of lifelong learning (CAMEL)

Project reference : LGMF-014

Lead institution : Northumbria University

The project was a pilot to explore the development of a community of practice amongst e-learning, systems, and learning technology practitioners working on aspects of promoting lifelong learning across institutions. Its aim was to include participants from both further education and higher education to help support HEFCE’s widening participation agenda. The community was based around a series of structured study visits and supported by means of a discussion forum and facilitated online discussions. Differing approaches to establishing good practice in this area were showcased and discussed. The project was completed in 2006.
