Researching and scoping a HE and civic leadership programme

During 2009 senior managers in higher education (HE) and their civic partners who are responsible for building bridges between HE and cities were interviewed with a view to developing a leadership development programme for those working in this area. Sheffield, Bristol and Newcastle provided case studies.

The project has provided the foundation for an emergent national leadership programme, which will be tailored for each city. Each programme will contribute to creating more effective leadership of the whole governmental and public service system in its locality.
