The Vice-Chancellors at Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Sheffield – two institutions with distinctive and complementary missions within a single city region - are to explore jointly the development of innovative models of collaboration for external engagement and research activities.
This project aims to:
Complementary academic provision in each university will be the focus of the project. It is anticipated that joint engagement will enable the academic community to interact and engage with each other, and with a wide range of public sector professionals and stakeholders in new ways.
The project is supported by the Leading Transformational Change initiative and runs from March 2010 to September 2011. Funding will enable an intensive programme of consultation, options analysis, business modelling and the development of an implementation programme.
