A study to determine the need, and opportunities, for developing a professional framework for the management of research

This project, funded in 2007, worked towards professionalising the research management function. It scoped the need and demand for a professional framework for the management of research across a range of universities, in particular for training, accreditation and continuing professional development and support. The final report detailed the UK research management landscape and a draft business plan and strategy. The project completed in 2009.
