Project reference : LGMF-199
Lead institution : North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium (NWUPC)
Although most collaborative procurement in the English HE sector is carried out by the four purchasing consortia, there is still an important role for committees of volunteers, known as National Working Parties (NWPs).
By providing administrative support for the NWPs during 2009-10, this project will create a closer working relationship among NWPs, which will encourage the use of the Central Universities Purchasing Information Database (CUPID) and Procureweb.
The data collected by these means will enable more effective procurement, and it is anticipated will deliver significant savings to the sector.
Total funding : £152,500
