Association of Managers in HE Colleges: benchmarking for HE

This project, which ran from 2010-12, was intended to build on the innovative practice of the AMHEC benchmarking group. The existing service was enhanced to create a bespoke education benchmarking service, to be made available across the whole sector.

The project group shares management information in a transparent manner across a range of functions by:

• access to a shared software programme which provides detailed analysis of all partner institutions, financial and staffing data, and enables meaningful comparison for benchmarking purposes
• attendance at a number of collaborative workshops each year.

Modifications have been made to enhance the database to incorporate National Audit Office and Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy public sector benchmarks and performance indicators.
