Project reference : LSDHE37
Lead institution : Birkbeck University of London
This is a collaborative project between four institutions in central London designed to take a common approach to the issues of carbon management and the sustainable operation of estates.
By taking a common approach the project aims to address the lack of resources experienced by some smaller institutions in dealing with these issues.
Staff will be appointed to implement a programme of change in culture and attitude for all partners. The four institutions are Birkbeck, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, School of Oriental and African Studies and School of Pharmacy.
The project which is funded under the Leading Sustainable Development in HE initiative will run from autumn 2010 to summer 2013.
Total funding : £75,000
