Continuing professional development framework supporting junior and middle administrative management

After two years' development, the AUA launched a continuing professional development (CPD) framework in April 2009. It provides the basis for a national approach to CPD for junior and/or middle managerial and administrative staff in higher education. The framework’s aims are to:

• enhance institutional performance in the recruitment, development, and retention of high-quality staff
• contribute to the development of management and leadership capability across the sector
• support longer-term succession planning at all levels of institutions in order to meet the needs of an expanding sector
• promote equality and diversity and sustainable practices.
