Implementation of the AUA continuing professional development framework for professional services staff

Project reference : LGMF-216

Lead institution : Association of University Administrators (AUA)

This project, which began in September 2010, will encourage the higher education (HE) sector to adopt the Association of University Administrators' continuing professional development (CPD) framework. This framework supports the coherent and systematic development of professional services staff in HE.

The project is supporting early adopters of the framework to develop:

  • a freely available archive of case studies and CPD tools, capturing and disseminating experiences of pilot adopters
  • a community of peer mentors, equipped to support subsequent implementation projects.

Early adopters of the framework include the University of Oxford library service, the University of Sheffield Student Services Directorate, St George's and Kingston Faculty of Health and Social Care Sciences, UCAS, and the University of the West of England.

Total funding : £60,000
