Religious Literacy Leadership Project

Project reference : LGMF-236*

Lead institution : Goldsmiths University of London

The Religious Literacy Leadership project will deliver events, materials and activities to develop and mainstream religious literacy in higher education institutions (HEIs) for senior HE leaders. It will concentrate on Pro Vice-Chancellors and senior managers, who are critical in catalysing religious literacy.

The key aims are to support HEIs to provide religious literacy in terms of:

  • student experience, widening participation and social mobility, good campus relations, and equalities
  • mainstreaming religious literacy by engaging in robust relationships with strategic leaders and sector bodies
  • helping HEIs lead conversation and debate about religion in wider society through education, publications and events at a time when the public role of religion is high.

Total funding : £74,999
