Sustainable procurement centre of excellence for the higher education sector

Project reference : LGMF-109

Lead institution : North East Universities Procurement Consortium

The project intends to make demonstrable changes to the way higher education institutions (HEIs) embed sustainable procurement into their standard procedures, practices and policies.

The centre will:

  • develop capability in influencing supply chains
  • address process issues
  • develop measurement and monitoring tools
  • seek to share a better understanding of sustainable development as it relates to procurement in the HE sector.
