Management Information Projects

In 2009 The Financial Sustainability Strategy Group (FSSG) and TRAC Development Group (TDG) worked with more than 80 universities and colleges in a UK-wide project to increase the use of accessible management information. This information aims to support the long-term performance and financial sustainability of institutions.

The work was supported throughout by the HEFCE Leadership, Governance and Management Fund.

Guidance for institutions and key outcomes

The project focussed on the need for all universities and colleges to understand and manage the factors that influence their performance and sustainability as institutions.

The document, 'Achieving Academic and Financial Sustainability: Guidance for Forward-looking Institutions' and the four guides below summarise the outcomes from the projects and provide practical advice and guidance for institutions wanting to increase the utilisation of TRAC data.
