Unistats contains the Key Information Set (KIS) which comprises useful items of information, at course level, about higher education courses for students making choices about what and where to study.
Unistats includes official data on each UK university and college's satisfaction scores in the National Student Survey, jobs and salaries after study and other key information for prospective students.
The site includes the data from the National Student Survey (NSS) results, and data on students' entry qualifications, progression through course, degree results, and data showing the types of career and further study that students go on to.
It is aimed at potential students and their advisers, to help them make choices about what and where to study. It enables users of the site to compare the information for the subjects they are interested in.
The new Unistats web-site was launched in September 2012 with a new look and feel and data that are presented in a significantly different way.
The Unistats web-site can be accessed directly or through the KIS ‘widgets’ which will be embedded in the higher education course web pages of universities and colleges from 31 October.
HEFCE, the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales, the Department for Employment and Learning (Northern Ireland), and the Scottish Funding Council fund and own the site.
Eduserv will manage the Unistats web-site for them.
