Our research

To inform and guide our activity in the area of widening participation, we carry out and commission research. This helps to ensure that all funding and policy decisions are properly considered and based on evidence.

Specifically we look at the information about participation that is available, and try to identify any patterns or changes in national rates that might signal new trends.

Monitoring this information also helps us to ensure that changes do not unfavourably affect any groups with protected characteristics under equalities legislation.
