Shared relationship management strategy

We have developed a shared relationship management strategy with HEIs’ governing bodies (HEFCE Circular Letter 12/2011).

This promotes a shared understanding across the sector of the respective roles of governing bodies, institutional executives and HEFCE, and the boundaries of those roles.

HEFCE Governance newsletter

We provide an e-newsletter aimed at governors of English higher education institutions.

The service gives updates on HEFCE activity, covering news, publications, policy developments and information relevant to governors. Sign up for this service.

Guide for governors

The latest version of the CUC Higher Education Code of Governance was published in December 2014. The Code is designed to help governing bodies meet and exceed the basic requirements contained within institutional governing instruments and the legal and regulatory requirements placed on HE providers in the UK.  In addition, it shares and encourages adoption of good practice across the higher education sector.
